Bruce Lucas is a co-founder of the Company, and has served as our Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of our board of directors since our founding in April 2021. He is married to Shannon Lucas, a co-founder of the Company, our President and Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board of directors. Prior to Slide, Mr. Lucas founded super-regional insurer Heritage Insurance (NYSE: HRTG), serving as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chairman of the board of directors from 2012 to 2020. Mr. Lucas received a Bachelor of Arts in Geology and Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. We believe Mr. Lucas is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his extensive experience in the insurance industry, as well as prior leadership and management roles.
Mr. Omiridis has served as Chief Financial Officer since December 1, 2025. Mr. Omiridis brings over 20 years of finance and leadership experience to the Company’s financial executive team. Since September 2022, Mr. Omiridis has served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Amerisafe, Inc. From September 2019 to August 2022, Mr. Omiridis served as the Senior Vice President, Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Kemper Corporation. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with Chubb Life from 2017 to 2019; and as the Chief Accounting Officer for ARGO Limited from 2013 to 2017. Prior to 2013, Mr. Omiridis served in multiple leadership positions with American Life Insurance Company.
Chas leads Slide's revenue-generating areas, including sales, underwriting, product, and distribution partnerships. With more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, Chas has deep product knowledge and an unmatched track record of supporting the success of agency partners. He began his career as a producer at his family's agency in Florida and has since held roles as Underwriter and Territory Sales Manager at Unitrin Kemper and, most recently, as a Vice President of Independent Agency Distribution with Foremost, a Farmers Insurance company. His background, data-driven approach, and proven growth strategies continue to fortify Slide as a leader in the market.
Matt is responsible for building Slide's reinsurance pricing framework for underwriting, portfolio management, and placement of the reinsurance program. He spent 13 years at Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions division. Most recently, Matt co-led the Coastal Regional Segment within their Catastrophe Management group. He holds the Certified Catastrophe Risk Management Professional (CCRMP) credential in conjunction with the International Society of Catastrophe Managers (ISCM).
Shannon Lucas is a co-founder of the Company and serves as our President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as a member of our board of directors. Previously, she was Chief Risk Officer of Slide since our founding in April 2021. She is married to Bruce Lucas, a co-founder of the Company, and our Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board of directors. Mrs. Lucas leads Slide’s operations and enterprise risk management. Prior to Slide, Mrs. Lucas served as Chief Executive Officer of Securus Risk Management, LLC, a risk consulting firm providing services in the insurance industry, from 2016 to 2020. Mrs. Lucas received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida.
